We’re looking for a highly skilled, hands-on, and collaborative Project Director - Event Services to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on leading large-scale, complex events, loves solving problems under pressure, and is passionate about delivering exceptional client and attendee experiences.
What you'll be doing
As
Project Director, you’ll be accountable for the development and end-to-end delivery of some of our biggest events (5,000 – 13,000 attendees). You’ll work closely with the Account Director and project teams to ensure every element is delivered flawlessly, on budget, and in line with client objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning, project management, and onsite delivery of complex, large-scale events.
- Acting as the day-to-day contact for clients, building trusted relationships, and ensuring exceptional service.
- Managing budgets of up to £15million, including forecasting, reporting, and driving value for money.
- Overseeing logistics, production, creative, and technical workstreams to ensure a seamless experience.
- Managing and mentoring project teams of 50+ people, ensuring clear ownership of tasks and accountability.
- Developing project documentation such as setback schedules, trackers, and client handbooks.
- Managing vendor relationships and ensuring a solution-oriented, one-team approach.
- Leading onsite teams, solving problems in real time, and ensuring the highest standards of delivery.
- Running post-project debriefs and making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
What you will bring
We’re looking for someone who is a natural leader, a highly organised problem-solver, and passionate about delivering extraordinary events.
You’ll have:
- Significant experience (8+ years) leading large-scale events (5,000 – 13,000 attendees) from concept to execution.
- A track record of delivering complex events on time and within budget.
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen with experience managing £10m–£15m budgets.
- Strong inter-personal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor teams.
- Proven experience working with creative and production teams on large-scale build and branding projects.
- Advanced Excel skills, plus strong PowerPoint and general ICT skills.
- The ability to work under pressure, juggle multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results.
- A positive, solution-focused mindset and a passion for creating memorable attendee experiences.

Other Requirements
This is a hybrid role with the expectation of travel to the office for collaboration and to meet client needs. (1-2 days a week)
Minimum of 25MB download / 2MB upload home broadband speed (for home working).
Willingness and ability to travel internationally throughout the year (20–30%).
Flexibility to work across time zones as required.
