Position Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Creative Events Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be based either on the East Coast or Central and have a strong background in show production for corporate events and bringing clients’ creative vision to life. You should also have experience in project managing conferences, parties or exhibitions. As a Creative Events Manager, they will be accountable for the development and delivery of all aspects of the presentation of an event - from (but not limited to) communication strategy through show content, media design, talent or show design & production, seeing through environmental build & brand items from brief to creative to production, decoration and layout of the rooms - within budgets and to clients’ requirements. They will provide strategic, commercial and creative input into the bidding, winning and delivery of projects. Maintaining a holistic, balanced view and control across all elements of the delivery of the companies’ events.
The role will work collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers and clients to provide a creatively inspired, seamlessly delivered, exceptional client experience and ensure all legal, regulatory and health and safety requirements are met.
Responsibilities
As a Creative Events Manager, you will play a critical role in managing creative digital projects. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing various aspects of production. Here are the key responsibilities:
- Own complex events, ensuring flawless execution from start to finish, and oversee the design and delivery of events executed by team members, aiming for an exceptional client experience every time.
- Lead project management and production for assigned events or workstreams within larger events, ensuring accurate project documentation, adherence to parameters, and budget compliance.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and other agencies to understand event objectives, resource requirements, and logistical details.
- Proactively manage project teams, ensuring robust project management practices and timely communication.
- Develop production briefs in collaboration with internal colleagues and clients, translating creative ideas into practical solutions.
- Offer strategic advice to clients to ensure their objectives are achieved.
- Research and source unique creative solutions, such as guest speakers and entertainment options.
- Develop accurate budgets for effective financial event delivery.
- Set high standards for production, content design, communication strategy, media design, and overall environmental design.
- Seek continuous improvement through analysis of client and attendee feedback and post-show data.
- Team Management and Development:
- Line manage junior team members, mentoring them and sharing knowledge to aid their growth.
- Assist with project resourcing, vetting freelancers, and supporting recruitment and onboarding of new hires.
Skills, experience, and competencies
The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experiences:
- Proven experience as an event manager (minimum 4 years) delivering events within deadlines and budget constraints in an agency environment.
- Proven experience and solid experience as a live show event manager including:
- Manage show production from brief to delivery
- Manage show crew
- Have a fundamental understanding of show calling
- Create the creative concept of the event
- Source suitable entertainment
- Manage talent logistics
- Have versatility across various corporate event types
- Have a track record of consistently delivering high-quality, customer-focused services.
- Deep understanding of the requirements for maintaining such high standards.
- Sound knowledge of event design, including visuals, staging, and venue considerations.
- Degree-level understanding of technical production aspects.
- Demonstrable confidence in designing event agendas and content.
- Experience working across disciplines, including video production and digital media.
- Active involvement in pitch delivery and presentations.
- Robust commercial awareness with a strong understanding of budget management and contract handling. Competence in managing project budgets exceeding £1m/$1m.
- Confidence in using Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and general ICT proficiency.

- Liking for and ability to undertake international travel thorough the calendar, which can be up to 25% of the working year.
Base Salary: $105,000 - $115,000
Compensation is determined on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience, along with its relationship to the base salaries of current team members that are similarly situated.
